G7 Engagement Groups: Accelerating the Development and Access to Vaccines and Therapeutics
On January 1, 2022, Germany took over the G7 Presidency. The G7 Engagement Groups have a significant role in the G7 process by providing recommendations to policymakers throughout the negotiation rounds. On 5 April, the Global Health Hub Germany invites representatives from the G7 Engagement Groups to discuss strengthening pandemic preparedness and response by accelerating the development and access to vaccines and therapeutics, a key priority of the G7 Presidency. Representatives of the engagement groups Business 7, Civil Society 7, Think Tanks 7 and Youth 7 will share their views and provide insights on the following questions: How could vaccines and therapeutics be developed and produced even faster? How could an equitable access to vaccines and therapeutics be ensured globally?
